Women's Soccer extends shutout streak to eight games


, the 2008 Soccer America Player of the Year, broke a 0-0 tie in the 82nd minute with her ninth goal of the season to give No. 3 North Carolina a 1-0 win over ACC rival Maryland, its eighth straight shutout victory, in the NCAA third round before a crowd of 2,898 at Fetzer Field Saturday afternoon.
