Deck McGuire out-dueled Matt Harvey as No. 3 Georgia Tech edged No. 17 North Carolina 2-1 on a rainy Friday night at Boshamer Stadium. Both pitchers struck out double-digit batters through seven innings of brilliant work. Carolina lined into two double plays in the eighth and ninth innings to fall by the narrow margin. The Yellow Jackets improve to 19-2 and 6-1 in the ACC, while Carolina falls to 16-7 and 2-5 in the ACC.
