Heels' Harvey handcuffs Tigers
Posted Apr 24, 2010
Anticipating rain before this morning's first pitch, the Clemson baseball team spread an orange tarp on the field at Doug Kingsmore Stadium late Friday night. The Tigers had just seen the thunder and heard the lightning. Right-hander Matt Harvey scattered six hits and struck out 15 in a 5-3 victory to open a weekend ACC series that the Tar Heels need as badly as the Tigers. Harvey's final pitch - his 157th - was clocked by a team manager at 96 mph.
