Ex-UNC baseball stars meet again

An interesting testament to the oddly minuscule size of baseball’s world took place during the Kinston Indians’ 3-1 win over Salem on Tuesday. Red Sox catcher Tim Federowicz dug in three times against K-Tribe right-hander Alex White with what might appear to be a slight advantage. It didn’t turn out that way. Federowicz, a third-year pro, was White’s catcher for two seasons at the University of North Carolina.
