Dustin Ackley homers in first at-bat for AAA Rainiers

Dustin Ackley homered on the second pitch he saw in his Class AAA debut, helping Tacoma beat Reno 11-7 in a Pacific Coast League game Thursday night. Leading off the second inning, Ackley looked at a strike before launching a home run to right-center field. The 22-year-old second baseman finished 1 for 5 with two runs batted in.
