Alex White proving capable as a starter

Alex White had made a handful of appearances out of the bullpen for the University of North Carolina during the College World Series. But he was best known as the Tar Heels' ace during his last two seasons. White has gone 4-4 with a 1.53 ERA in 10 starts at Double-A Akron since being called up May 23 from Kinston, where he started his professional career in April.
