Dustin Ackley headed to Triple-A Tacoma
Posted Mar 24, 2011
Top Mariners prospect Dustin Ackley will start the season at Triple-A Tacoma. Ackley is expected to be the Mariners’ everyday second baseman later in the season, but the time in Triple-A will give him more time to hone his defense and will keep him under team control for an additional year. Ackley is hitting .269 with a .441 on-base percentage and a .423 slugging percentage in 15 spring training games.
