With Carlos Carrasco expected back to be off the disabled list and back in the rotation on Wednesday, the Indians needed to clear a spot on the staff. Cleveland opted to option right-hander Jeanmar Gomez to Triple-A Columbus, giving prospect Alex White a longer stay in the big leagues. (MLB.com)
