Dustin Ackley called up by Mariners
Posted Jun 16, 2011
In a blog in the Seattle Times the headline reads: "Let the Dustin Ackley Era Begin." No pressure there. Ackley, a Winston-Salem native, has been called up to the major-league Seattle Mariners and will be on the 25-man roster for tonight's game with the Philadelphia Phillies. Ackley, who has gone through a transition in the minor leagues to become a second baseman, could also start tonight.
