No. 2 UNC Field Hockey Shuts Out Host Michigan


Behind two goals each from Elizabeth Stephens and Samantha Travers and one from , the No. 2 North Carolina field hockey team opened its 2011 season Saturday with a 5-0 win at No. 9 Michigan in the first game of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. In action at Ocker Field, the Tar Heels scored early, with Stephens' first goal coming on a corner in the fifth minute of play, and led 4-0 at the half. (Tar Heel Blue)
