Andrew Carignan called up by Oakland A's

Carignan will also be making his Major League debut. He did not allow a run in 12.0 innings over his final eight games with the River Cats. Carignan was 1-0 with a 1.85 ERA in 33 relief appearances between Sacramento, Double-A Midland and Single-A Stockton this season, recording 46 strikeouts in 39.0 innings.
