Field Hockey: No. 2 Tar Heels Top No. 1 ODU in OT
Posted Oct 30, 2011
Junior Caitlin Van Sickle scored on a pass from senior Katelyn Falgowksi less than two minutes into overtime to give No. 2 North Carolina a 3-2 win over No. 1 Old Dominion Sunday afternoon at Powhatan Field in the regular-season finale for both teams. UNC ends the regular season 18-1, while ODU is 18-2. The Tar Heel victory avenged the team's only loss of the fall, 3-1 to ODU in Chapel Hill on Sept. 16.
