Improving Pringle Has Big Role
Posted Nov 7, 2007
Sylvia Hatchell believes LaToya Pringle is vitally important to her team's success this season. "If there's a better defensive player in the country, I don't know who it would be," the coach says. "She's as good as anybody we have, as far as not letting you get to the basket in one-on-one." Last season, Pringle set a Tar Heel record with 121 blocks, an average of nearly 3.2 per game. That was good enough for second in the ACC and fifth in the nation.
