Tar Heels take next step in becoming perennial powerhouse

Although nine Tar Heels have joined professional baseball following the past two CWS trips, North Carolina's roster remains flush with talent. Dustin Ackley, who was named national freshman of the year after hitting .402 with an ACC-best 72 RBIs, Chad Flack and Tim Federowicz lead a veteran group of position players who might not need a contribution from a first-year player.
