Pitcher Hobbs Johnson Emerging
Posted May 3, 2012
Despite beginning the season outside the weekly starting rotation, sophomore pitcher Hobbs Johnson has come on strong in recent weeks and cemented his spot as a weekend starter for No. 10 North Carolina. “Hobbs has really been throwing well,” head coach Mike Fox said. “He’s got good stuff and if there’s a story on our team this year, besides Colin [Moran] breaking his hand, it’s Hobbs Johnson.”
