Tar Heel Women Keep Rolling With Win Over Virginia

No. 11 North Carolina continued its best league start in five years with a 71-60 win over Virginia Thursday at Carmichael Arena. Xylina McDaniel had a game-high 15 points, and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt and Waltiea Rolle had 14 apiece as the Tar Heels improved to 18-1 and 6-0 in ACC play. UNC used a 19-4 run to close the first half and runs of 8-2 and 7-0 after the break to put the game out of reach early.
