ACC rivals to meet for women's lacrosse crown

Kara Cannizzaro scored four consecutive goals in a 7:20 span in the second half to help third-seeded North Carolina beat two-time defending national champion Northwestern 11-4 on Friday in the NCAA DIvision I women's lacrosse semifinals. North Carolina will play top-seeded Maryland, an 11-10 winner against No. 4 Syracuse in the second semifinal, in the final Sunday (ESPNU, 8 p.m. ET).
