Tar Heels Make History
Posted May 26, 2013
North Carolina and N.C. State decided to make up for a rained-out regular season meeting by playing two games in one on Saturday night. The top-seeded Tar Heels outlasted their rivals, 2-1, in 18 innings, setting a school and ACC Tournament record for the longest game ever played. “I don’t have the words to describe what I just saw,” UNC head coach Mike Fox told reporters.
