Russell, Tar Heels eliminate Wolfpack

Michael Russell drove in three runs Thursday night as North Carolina extended its stay at the College World Series with a 7-0 win over North Carolina State. Hobbs Johnson and Chris McCue combined on the shutout before 25,742 at TD Ameritrade Park that helped the Tar Heels avenge the 8-1 loss they suffered in the opening round against the Wolfpack.
