Chris Iannetta of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim named the American League Player of the Week

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim catcher Chris Iannetta has been named the American League Player of the Week for the period ending September 15th. The announcement was made earlier today on MLB Network. Iannetta batted .429 (9-for-21) with two doubles, three home runs, five RBI, seven runs scored and two walks over six games to claim his first career weekly honor.
