Tar Heels soak in Omaha

North Carolina pitcher Robert Woodard estimates he signed at least 2,000 autographs by the time his team finished runner-up at last summer's College World Series. Thursday, he got a good start on topping that number. At least 500 fans wrapped around the concourse of Rosenblatt Stadium after the Tar Heels practiced, queued up to take advantage of UNC's scheduled autograph session.
