Postseason is time for Flack to shine


Throughout most of the spring, 's metal bat produced plenty of "ping," but not the customary pop and power. After batting .384 with 13 homers and a school-record 112 hits last year, his average dropped to .251 with seven homers this season. But that didn't cause North Carolina coach to start looking for a pinch-hitter. And certainly not now, not in June, when Flack usually flourishes. (Raleigh News & Observer)
