MLB draft could take a big bite out of highly-rated UNC recruiting class
Posted Jun 8, 2014
North Carolina baseball coach Mike Fox put together a recruiting class that has been ranked by some as the best in the nation. It’s an assessment that was confirmed this week in the Major League Baseball draft. The problem is that there’s a good chance many of the Tar Heels’ top signees won’t ever make it to Chapel Hill. Nine of Fox’s 17 incoming freshmen were selected in the three-day draft, including six in the first two rounds.
