Baseball had to wait for Tar Heel graduate
Posted Apr 1, 2007
Ask Louisville Bats outfielder Tyrell Godwin about his biggest thrill, and he won't tell you about the New York Yankees selecting him in the first round of the 1997 amateur draft. Or the time the Texas Rangers selected him in the first round in 2000. He'll talk about turning down both chances to become a millionaire. Godwin graduated in three and a half years from the University of North Carolina with a history degree.
