People tend to remember dates when something significant happens. For Dustin Ackley, it was May 5, 2008. Ackley, outfielder for the Seattle Mariners, found that the U. of North Carolina (UNC) offered him more than just an excellent education and a great baseball program. It also offered him an avenue to a closer relationship with God.
