Detroit Tigers release reliever Luke Putkonen
Posted Mar 29, 2015
Luke Putkonen entered camp with a chance to crack the Detroit Tigers' opening day roster. Now, he's out of a job. Putkonen has been released, the Tigers confirmed early Saturday. The move was made nearly two months after the 28-year-old was outrighted to Triple-A Toledo. Putkonen was extended an invitation to big league camp this spring as a non-roster invitee.
