Charlotte Smith to be inducted into N.C. Sports Hall of Fame

Charlotte Smith knows she’ll be in good company when she’s inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame Friday night. Smith, a former women’s basketball standout at UNC and current coach at Elon, is the niece of NC State legend David Thompson and a former player and assistant coach for Tar Heels coach Sylvia Hatchell. Thompson and Hatchell are Hall of Famers.
