Michael Russell back from injury with a bang

Assigned to the Hudson Valley Renegades, Michael Russell made the most of his pro debut. In the Renegades’ season-opener at Aberdeen on June 19, Russell cracked a two-run home run on the second pitch he saw at Ripken Stadium. “People say it all the time, but you come back wanting to play so much,” Russell said. “It’s really cliché for people who are hurt, but it’s true.”
