Angels avoid no-hitter thanks to Chris Iannetta's double in ninth
Posted Aug 27, 2015

Chris Iannetta’s leadoff double in the ninth ended Verlander’s bid for his third no-hitter, but that was the Angels' only hit in a 5-0 loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. Verlander was three outs from becoming the sixth pitcher to throw at least three no-hitters.
