Matt Harvey blows off innings limit for ‘best day’ of his career

Matt Harvey wasn’t worried about innings limits, his surgically repaired right elbow or his future contract Saturday afternoon. No, all the controversy surrounding how much the ace righty-hander should be able to pitch in his first full year back following Tommy John surgery was put aside for one day, so Harvey could pitch the Mets to their first National League East crown in nine years.
