Butch Davis: Miami never called after interview, heard Richt news on radio

Butch Davis was a candidate in the mix for the Miami job, reportedly in the final handful of potential head coaches to take over after Al Golden's midseason dismissal. The former North Carolina and one-time Hurricanes coach was a favorite of some former players, but the job was quickly offered and accepted by Mark Richt once the former Georgia coach was available.
