UNC Softball Tops Longwood With Record-Breaking Walk-Off Blast

Carolina fell behind 4-0 early, but a four-run fifth inning tied the score and senior shortstop Kristen Brown crushed a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to propel UNC to a 6-4 victory over Longwood University in the opening game of the 2016 NCAA Regionals. “We’ve been this way all year,” said head coach Donna J. Papa.
