ESPN fires back at Bill Simmons, says Sports Guy spinning 'conspiracy theories'

ESPN president John Skipper is tired of taking crap from disgruntled former columnist Bill Simmons. The Sports Guy has been bashing Bristol ever since he landed his new TV deal with HBO and rolled out The Ringer website. When Simmons hinted to Jim Rutenberg of the New York Times he thought that Bob Iger, boss of ESPN parent Walt Disney Co., wanted him out in order to land an NFL team for Los Angeles, Skipper fired back.
