Pitching Dominates Fall World Series Finale

Freshman right-hander Jared Bard and relievers Matt Danford and Andrew Carignan combined on a five-hitter to lead Gatzkrieg to a 3-1 victory over Blue Steel Monday in the deciding game of North Carolina's Fall World Series at Boshamer Stadium. Gatzkrieg rebounded to win the series, 3-2, after losing two straight games.
