Father’s Day Gift for Davis Love III: Caddying for Son, Dru

III’s son, Dru, was on the eighth green at Erin Hills on Tuesday when he asked for a number from his caddie. “Dad,” Dru Love said, “what year was your first U.S. Open?” Brookline in 1988, the elder Love replied. That led his friend and golfing contemporary Brad Faxon, a Fox analyst who was visiting with them, to ask, “Were you 23 in ’88?” (New York Times)
