One day, two ACC championships and NYC Marathon win

Sunday was a day for Tar Heel victories. UNC’s field hockey and women’s soccer team both claimed ACC championships, and 2004 UNC graduate Shalane Flanagan became the first American woman to win the New York City Marathon in 40 years. “We did it,” Flanagan posted online along with a photo of her holding an outstretched American flag.
