Shalane Flanagan goes the distance

Shalane Flanagan is a four-time Olympian and a six-time national cross-country champion. She holds American records indoors at 3,000 and 5,000 meters and has represented the U.S. at the Olympics or World Track & Field Championships every year since 2007. On Nov. 5, Flanagan became the first American woman to win the New York City Marathon in 40 years.
