Austin Rivers falsely claims he was ACC Player of the Year
Posted Jan 18, 2018
Austin Rivers mentioned in an interview with ESPN that he was ACC player of the year in 2011-12, his lone season at Duke. However, that was not the case. Former UNC forward Tyler Zeller won the honor that season. Zeller received 45 votes, ex-Virginia forward Mike Scott got 14 and Tar Heels players Harrison Barnes (2) and John Henson (1) rounded out the list. Rivers received 0 votes.
