Posted Jun 10, 2006
Andrew Miller pitched seven dominating innings and Josh Horton and Tim Federowicz hit two-run homers, powering North Carolina to an 11-5 win over Alabama Friday night. The Tar Heels moved within one win of their first College World Series trip since 1989. Drafted sixth overall by the Detroit Tigers three days earlier, Miller struck out 11 and allowed only two unearned runs on five hits with one walk.
