Good Night, Dark Knight: Matt Harvey Being Designated For Assignment

Mets General manager Sandy Alderson announced Friday that Harvey is being designated for assignment after the right-hander rejected a demotion to the minor leagues, ending the once-promising pitcher's tenure with the Mets. "I can't get inside Matt's decision," Alderson said. "But he didn't really express any rationale."
