She Did it All: Marie McCool's Career Ends at North Carolina — But Not Without a Fight

With UNC down 15-11 and less than a minute to play in her career, senior Marie McCool wasn’t ready to hang ‘em up. She charged toward the net, fired high and scored. It was her 183rd goal as a Tar Heel, good for fourth on the school’s all-time ledger, and her last. “Even though there wasn’t much time left, I wasn’t going to give up,” McCool said, fighting back tears.
