Eddie Pope Named To 2006 U.S. World Cup Roster


Former UNC All-America has been named to the 23-man United States roster for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, U.S. Fellow Tar Heels and Kerry Zavagnin were selected as alternates. One of the national team's top center backs since 1996 and its most experienced defender, Pope also played in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups. He has played in 78 international matches and has scored eight goals. (CSTV)
