UNC Misfires in Opening Loss to Cal
Posted Sep 1, 2018
With hopes of washing the bitter taste of last season’s 3-9 record out of its mouth, North Carolina stumbled early and ran out of time late in losing at California, 24-17. Cal’s defense outscored UNC’s offense through the first three quarters and dominated the line of scrimmage throughout the afternoon. The Bears allowed the Tar Heels to cross midfield on just four of 15 drives.
