North Carolina did not make the most of its scoring opportunities Saturday and fell 22-19 to Virginia Tech. An 18-play, 98-yard, 5:54 touchdown drive gave Virginia Tech the win as the Hokies capitalized on Michael Carter's goal-line fumble in the fourth quarter. Cade Fortin made his first career start, becoming the first true freshman to start at quarterback since Cam Sexton in 2006.
