Pivotal weekend for UNC, NC State, Duke

North Carolina's rivalry with Wake Forest is considered the oldest rivalry in the South. It started in 1888. The Tar Heels' series with Virginia is the oldest continuous rivalry in the South, and it dates to 1892. The difference? UNC and Wake did not play between 1893 and 1908; and of course in today's ACC, UNC and Wake have met just three times in the last eleven years. (WRAL Sports Fan)
