Twelve seconds into North Carolina’s win over Notre Dame, Coby White knocked down his team’s first shot, a three-pointer – nothing special in the grand scheme of things, but a symbol of change in UNC’s offense the last four seasons. That change? Pyrite is now a precious metal in Chapel Hill. Roy Williams once famously referred to three-point shots as “fool’s gold.”
