Social media is a key tool to provide college sports fans with content. Increasingly, though, the bigger priority is for it to be a recruiting tool — to lure the best high school athletes to their programs and convince fans to buy season tickets. “I think the main goal is recruiting,” said Dana Reynolds, the director of social and digital media for athletics at UNC.
