A trip down memory lane as the ACC basketball tournament comes to Charlotte

The ACC basketball tournament has annually spawned national championship contenders and this year’s event in Charlotte should be no different. Fourteen times an ACC team has won a national championship. The first three champions in 1957, 1974 and 1982 came with local connections and important impacts that can be felt in the game to this day.
