Michael Jordan, who had turned 31 in February 1994, entered White Sox spring training with fanfare befitting a royal family member, despite not having played baseball since high school. Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders had already mastered two professional sports — baseball and football — in the same era as Jordan’s basketball dominance.
