Dewey Burke, North Carolina: Whim pays off

It was in an intramural gym in Chapel Hill where Dewey Burke first learned about the Tar Heels’ JV team, a squad he made in the winter of 2003. Initially “intrigued at the prospect of wearing that jersey and being able to play in the Smith Center,” Burke turned his attention to a bigger goal: earning his way onto the same UNC bench that once included legends such as Kupchak, Jordan, Worthy and Jamison.
